The resistive element of tungsten is capable of producing temperatures of up to 2750°C. The response time of the short wave infrared heater is very fast, with a response time of 1 second, and it is capable of emitting more than 90% of its IR energy. Furthermore, it is free of by-products and pollution. The heat focus is highly precise due to the small and compact diameter of the IR tubes.
